| In the new game discussion thread, several of us were interested in doing something spooky for October. This is a little different because we're interested in a genre rather than the game, so I thought we could vote on a few titles to see what people are interested in. I'm listing series of games just by the title of the series and if one of those is picked, we'll decide on the exact game after that. I would assume we'll be doing the first or second game in the series.
Comments and suggestions are extremely welcome! I like horror games a lot, but my actual experience is kind of limited. The list is mostly coming from the other thread.
Edit now that I've made the poll:
I said System Shock 2 because it seems like the first one isn't really a horror game. I'm also really interested in Sweet Home, but it's a NES era Japanese game so finding a legit copy is impossible, but there's probably a translated ROM somewhere. I made it so you can vote for multiples mostly because I realized I want to play most of these. Let's just see how this all turns out. Again, please make suggestions, especially if there's a glaring absence. |

| Now, I love system shock 2... Played that opening hour many many times...
How would we legally obtain it at this point? Unlike a lot of PS2 games we suggest it's a little tough to track down isn't it?
Also, is that silent hill for the first, or 2? |

| It's for whatever Silent Hill you want. I figured we'd decide which one in the series we wanted if we got enough votes for the series. If 2 is better, then we'd probably do that.
Yeah, I have no idea how to get System Shock 2. That might disqualify it.
Also, I don't think I can add titles, but if we get enough interest in one to add, I'll make a new poll. |

| Ah, I just thought of something. Should we perhaps wait on the Silent Hill 2 HD remake before going through it (not that silent hill seems to be winning our poll, 7th guest and sanitarium are) |

| @link6616: That occurred to me too, but Konami has been weirdly quiet about when that thing is actually going to release...actually it seems like both the collection and the new Silent Hill are missing October, which is pretty crazy to me. The collection might make it out by the end of 2011, but it seems really odd for it to still not have a release date. |

| Yeah, I'm thinking I will be more likely to do it in November than October too...considering it's taken me this long to even respond to this message, that should probably be an indication of how busy I've been the last two weeks or so! |

| If you're okay with very low participation, I say just go for it. If not, then open a thread, but I wouldn't be too optimistic - in past years, people have been too busy playing new games at this time of year for us to get significant VGC participation. |
